Raw Noise

Mastering Raw Noise “A Holocaust In Your Home 1984 Demo” on Nausea Records.

“Nausea Records proudly presents the official vinyl issue of the legendary demo tape containing some early Extreme Noise Terror tracks.
Restored and mastered from original tape at North London Bomb Factory.
Presented with printed inner sleeve with photos, lyrics and liner notes from Dean Jones.

RAW NOISE formed in Ipswich ’83 with Dean Jones on vocals, Ali Firouzbakht on guitars, Ade on bass and Olley (Pigkiller) on drums.
Early in ’84, John Borley temporarily stepped in on guitar to replace Ali. The first release was then made which was this 7 track demo tape recorded on 23/09/84. Following the release they had their first gig with Disorder and Lunatic Fringe at the Ipswich YMCA club. After Ali returned on guitar they had only one more show which was in Sudbury, Suffolk.
In Jan 1985 Raw Noise split to form EXTREME NOISE TERROR with Dean and Pigkiller teaming up with Phil Vane and Pete Hurley from other local band Victims of War, using many of the tracks from the demo tape to go on E.N.T’s first release, ‘Earslaughter’, a split album with Chaos U.K.

Fagersta, Sweden in the early 80’s. A small, bleak industrial town and home to a bunch of punks who were filled with the angst of the forthcoming Apocalypse of 1984 which George Orwell predicted.

It was around this time that Kerre (vocals/bass), Micke (guitar) and Hocke (drums) formed a band called Practical Joke (1981-1982), Changing the name to Fear of War in 1982. Their first rehearsals took place in the basement of Hocke’s family home.
After only 2 weeks they had their first gig in the nearby city of Skinnskatteberg, armed with only four songs which they repeated over and over again, until the usual bar fight began.
Not long after, Hocke left to join Crude S.S. and Ugly Squaws. In his place came Marko.
With inter changeable members; Fear of War, Ugly Squaws, Crude S.S. and Bedrövlers all rehearsed in the abandoned apartments called Kottmossen in Fagersta.
The “Tour in Finland 1984” included Fear of War, Ugly Squaws, Bedrövlers, Crude S.S., Anti Cimex and the Finnish band Vaurio.
Fear of War played with Disorder in Copenhagen at the “Subfestival” in 1987. This was to be their last gig before they split.”

Disorder

Remastering Disorder for the discography collection “Fires LIght the Sky” on Thought Crime Records.

“If you might think this is not the „real“ Disorder, you better do your homework. This band from Sunderland in the U.K. formed in 1978, while the band from Bristol that gained popularity amongst the crusty scene formed in 1980. Also in my humble opinion the Sunderland band is much better and their famous „Air Raid“ must be one of the best Punk songs ever written. Halleluja!
Besides 2 songs that have been included on „Bored Teenagers“ Volume 2 compilation LP, this is the first time these recordings have officially been re-issued.
On here are 5 studio songs recorded in 1980, of which 4 had been released on their 2 fairly rare singles originally and 3 tracks recorded in a rehearsal in 1979.
This record is dedicated to the memory of singer Mark Rough who passed away on 27th Nov 2013.”

Suspense

Remastering Suspense “Murder with the Axe” 7″ for La Vida Es Un Mus, another crucial release in Dutch punk history.

“I remember getting a letter from one of the DISORDER members who asked me to re-record him the SUSPENSE ep, because the song ‘ Crazy Sod’  got cut off before it ended. As a lot of punk bands, the NEO PUNKZ were influenced a lot by DISCHARGE (and not only musically) and in comparisation to the first ep, they sped up and had a distinct UK82 in sound (as well as their appearance). The subtitle of this record is; ‘ the end of the NEO PUNKZ , this is SUSPENSE’. They replaced one of the guitar players, recorded 3 fast songs and one longer and much slower one.

Again, this is one of the milestones in Dutch punk history and boy, don’t they look good in studs and leather. Essential.”
