Dying Shames

Mastering Dying Shames S/T 7″ on No Front Teeth Records.

“Garage Rock ‘N’ Roll featuring members of the Ten-O-Sevens, The Gaggers, The Miscalculations, The Ricky C. Quartet, The Seminals and Los Pepes.
This is exceptionally well-written and played blend of 1960’s and 1970’s punk, rock ‘n’ roll and powerpop with nods to The Flamin’ Groovies, Small Faces and Missing Links all brought together with an underlying punk sentiment.
Recorded completely in analogue for the absolute authentic sound.”

Ricky C Quartet

Mastering the Ricky C Quartet‘s second LP “Recent Affairs” on Wanda Records.

“Their long-awaited second album!
They’re loud, they’re fast and they’re dangerous! Its The Ricky C Quartet, bringing a style of classic punk rock n’ roll infused with a heaping dose of antipodean influenced adrenaline! Delivering a snarling energy with pissed-off lyrics and red-hot guitar leads, backed by walking bass lines that’ll get those feet moving” ”

Mastering the Ricky C Quartet‘s new 7″ on Wanda Records.

This is what they said about their debut 7″:

“Remember 10-15 years ago when there were hardly any good English punk bands? Now there are so many great ones that even the “side projects” are freaking phenomenal. Seriously, the current crop of U.K. punk groups has to be the best in at least 20 years. And when members of The Blowouts, Johnny Throttle, and the Ten-O-Sevens start a band based on a mutual love for Slaughter and the Dogs and Radio Birdman, you just know it’s gonna be the balls. The Ricky C Quartet, formed just last year, have dropped their debut single. “Small Species”, another No Front Teeth/Rapid Pulse Records co-release, brings to mind the harder edge of classic Brit-punk infused with a heaping dose of Aussie adrenaline. In short, this band is 100 percent as advertised. Both tracks here deliver some snarling rock n’ roll with pissed-off lyrics and red-hot guitar leads, backed by bass lines that’ll get your booty bouncing. And let’s face it: nobody spews profanity with the panache of the English. A sing-along refrain of “Don’t fuck around me!”, so delightfully acrimonious here, wouldn’t sound nearly as cool if these guys were from, say, New Jersey. Both “Small Species” and “Tonight” imbue a profuse fuck-off sentiment with serious catchiness – a formula that can’t lose when it’s done well. All in all, this is an absolutely ripping debut record. Nothing fancy or unexpected here – just great punk played furiously and brilliantly. Where have all the boot boys gone?”

Ricky C Quartet 7″ on No Front Teeth, mastered here, Moloko Plus Review.

“London re-calling!

It’s up to you…

Ricky C Quartet 7″, mastered here, Vibrator Buzz Blog Review.

“There’s gonna be a New Race, kids are gonna start it up and we’re all gonna mutate into RICKY C QUARTET fanatics who are offering another taste proven assault of Punkrock greatness here, bursting the Queen´s crinkly ass that you may have heard of as United Kingdom and blowing away her hemorrhoids.
Band after band and single after there seems to be popping up another up and down masterpiece coming from London, another New Race going to eject from the London streets and whoever may have started this, I owe him a pint for giving me all those kicks over and over again, I´d at least even be in for some of that lukewarm brown they use to serve in some pubs.
I really wonder if the RICKY C QUARTET maybe has been kept imprisoned in some sort of time capsule since 1977 and maybe just have been forgotten to be listed in the Raw Records catalogue right beside THE USERS, THE UNWANTED or the KILLJOYS.
If this wouldn´t be anough and to spare in the first place the quartet is even cranking up the adrenaline level by giving the bootboys and Boston Babies a treat, seriously SLAUGHTER & THE DOGS at the top of their noisy highness.
Do you remember this dog whose head exploded right in front of the grammophone ?
I was afraid it could happen to my cats too and locked them in another room just too prevent a bloody mess, of course I would try this with my neighbours instead at any time.
Aloha Ricky and Danno you´ve done everything right, just let those little snot bastards from your city keep on coming in and everyone will salute the New Race soon.”
