Remastered at NLBF: Iconoclast “Domination Or Destruction” on Sealed Records.
Released October 15, 2019
“Sealed Records release the complete remastered ICONOCLAST Discography including the immense self released 1983 Demo, The Flipside 7″ from 1985 plus Two Compilation tracks. It’s a small but perfectly formed discography and one that 36 years after it was first recorded still has power, intensity and rage. ICONOCLAST were part of the early 80’s American peace punk scene that included CRUCIFIX, BODY COUNT, AGAINST, ANOTHER DESTRUCTIVE SYSTEM, DIATRIBE, ARMISTICE and A STATE OF MIND. Idealistic bands highly influenced by CRASS which shined amongst the heavily nihilistic California Punk scene of the era. ICONOCLAST sound was in tune with DISCHARGE, early ANTISECT or WRETCHED while lyrically the songs were political and to the point. They played benefits for animal rights, anti nuclear, anti apartheid, anti police brutality, and Big Mountain. The demo was followed by their only vinyl release on Flipside which has two ragers and the more mellow In These Times which has a touch of THE MOB and OMEGA TRIBE about it. The band had tracks on various compilations including the seminal International P.E.A.C.E. Benefit LP on R Radical in 1984 which had the cream of the crop of international hardcore punk of the heyday.”
“Time & Matter Records are absolutely delighted to announce that their next release, catalogue number T&M 032 – ALVIN GIBBS & THE DISOBEDIENT SERVANTS’ LP, entitled ‘YOUR DISOBEDIENT SERVANT’
This really is a stunning debut solo album from the ever-popular U.K. Subs bassist.
Showcasing Alvin’s strong and distinctive lead vocals, alongside his glorious guitar and bass playing throughout, as well as his intelligent, thought-provoking lyrical skill, the guest musicians gracing this album is an impressive list of luminaries from the punk and alternative rock scene from the past 40 years; feast your eyes (and ears) over these disobedient servants:
Brian James (The Damned / Lords Of The New Church) Leigh Heggarty (Ruts DC) Mick Rossi (Slaughter & The Dogs) Timo Kaltio (Hanoi Rocks / Cheap ‘N’ Nasty) Mel Wesson (Ambient music designer / The Verve ‘Bittersweet Symphony’ / U.K. Subs ‘Diminished Responsibility’ LP / Films Mission Impossible 2, Batman Begins, Hannibal etc) Steve Crittall (The Godfathers) James Stevenson (Generation X / Chelsea / The Cult / The Alarm) Barrington Francis (The Saints) Jamie Oliver (U.K. Subs)”
“CRYPT OF THE WIZARD are proud to present HEAVY SENTENCE’s highly anticipated debut album, “BANG TO RIGHTS” on vinyl.
Since 2017 HEAVY SENTENCE have been pissing into the eye socket of Heavy Metal’s skeletal past, eating NWOBHM pie-and-chips for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Revving their Motorsickles filled with high octane Motögasoline, this crazed band of miscreants have played raucous live shows across the UK and Europe, remembered by all who attend – except the lads themselves. After two legendary 7”s, at last the debut album BANG TO RIGHTS is ready… just in time to serenade the world as it spins off its axis. These ten tracks are non stop bangers, a blazing Heavy Metal assault destined to be spray painted onto the crumbling walls of history. With shitty sticks HEAVY SENTENCE prod at the flatulent corpses of Thin Lizzy, Demon, Saxon, Heavy Load and Omen, and then kick them with a pair of METALPUNK bovver boots.
A HEAVY SENTENCE is coming your way… ‘Cos you are BANG TO RIGHTS!”
Remastered at NLBF: Dorothy “I Confess / Softness” on Sealed Records.
Released October 16, 2021
“Industrial Records – the label of Throbbing Gristle first released this pop gem in October 1980 and it was possibly the straightest yet weirdest release the label ever did. Dorothy was described as a 19 year old with no prior releases, but was actually Max the drummer from Rema Rema with help in the song writing department from Alex Ferguson from Alternative TV and Genesis P-Orridge. I Confess is a perfect super cute pop ditty with lyrics that sound like a catholic confession. The flipside Softness is a DIY Disco dancefloor nugget with Dorothy’s silky smooth vocals.”
“Denny and Josh from Seattle’s beloved pop-punk band Sicko, along with Julie D from Guest Directors/Chinchilla/etc, with some energetic power pop songs about aging, wasting time, the environment, political bs, and one really fun cover song.“
Mastered at NLBF: Swell Maps “Securicore” on Rather Records / Sounds on Paper.
Released February, 2022
“First-ever official biography of Swell Maps, “Swell Maps 1972-1980” penned by band member and co-founder Jowe Head. Swell Maps were formed in Jowe’s home town of Solihull, England with various school friends in 1972.
The group, also featuring the late Nikki Sudden and Nikki’s brother, the late Epic Soundtracks, along with Phones Sportsman, John Cockrill, and Richard Earl emerged in the late 1970s, and are now known as legendary pioneers of what is now referred to as “alternative rock” or “post-punk” with their blend of punk rock mixed with experimental and psychedelic sounds.
Together they released four 7” singles, the first in 1977 on their own Rather Records and two critically acclaimed albums in a brief but dramatic career, that led to them topping the UK independent charts, and influencing bands such as Sonic Youth, Nirvana, and Blur.
After Swell Maps broke up in 1980, Jowe joined the Television Personalities. Ten years with the TVPs saw Jowe making more influential records, touring Europe regularly, and playing in Japan and the USA.
Today he still regularly releases recordings, solo and with multiple groups, and is the steward of the Swell Maps legacy. In this 155-page biography of the band, Jowe takes us to each members’ formative years and reveals what made them experiment with challenging music and eventually come together to form Swell Maps.
Through his own recollections and utilizing interviews with former members, he explores the early days of the band, and details stories that bring the reader into the inner workings of the band as they traveled through the late 70s cultural scene in Europe. The last section of the book updates the whereabouts of all the key players.
The book includes dozens of full-colour images of band memorabilia from the author’s personal collection, including photos, posters, flyers, artwork, original lyrics, and more. Additionally, a 7” vinyl single is included that features tracks never before released anywhere.
“The first Swell Maps single I bought still to this day gives me a soul scorched buzz’n’rush….The Swell Maps had a lot to do with my upbringing.”—Thurston Moore
“Jowe Head spent time in two of the UK’s coolest underground bands: Swell Maps and Television Personalities…a lovably skewed indie-pop tunesmith.” —Time Out New York

Mastered at NLBF: The Disturbed “We Are The Disturbed” on Mad Butcher Classics and Bomb-All Records.
Released: Dec 23, 2021
“The Disturbed were a ripping charged punk band out of Scotland in the mid to late 1980s. Featuring Harvey McGurn, who had fronted one of Scotland’s best UK82 exports in Last Rites, there’s still a huge UK82 sound within the Disturbed’s sound. The lineup was rounded out by several members who would go on to play in some of the most influential Scottish crust bands of the 1990s including Scatha and Sedition. In a lot of ways, the Disturbed can be viewed as a precursor to that scene, although musically there’s only slight hints of the thick crust that was to come. This is a really well done reissue on Bomb All Records out of Germany, and we are pleased to be stocking it..“
“Illegal Leather- Raw Meat LP. Illegal Leather are fronted by the one and only Marco Palumbo AKA Terminal Gagger, lead screamer of the seminal UK punk band the Gaggers. And his uncharacteristic vocals are so immediately recognizable on Illegal Leather’s debut full length ‘Raw Meat’. Marco goes back to his roots, here, playing a similar ferocious hybrid of the guitars gnashing, lewd ‘n crude Punk Rock filth that made the Gaggers such a household name over a decade ago. With slashing guitars, throbbing bass and Marco’s caustic sneering vocals, Terminal Gagger’s vile, apathetic lyrics show his vitriolic silver tongue hasn’t waned with age. Illegal Leather’s muscular melodies and alluringly creative song writing are instantly catchy, and there’s more than enough vocal spit in the mix to satisfy any fans of Marcos previous bands including the Gaggers, Miscalculations, Disco Lepers and La Rabbia. ‘Raw Meat’ delivers a dozen oozing cuts of supercharged, menacing, bulldozer Punk that’s equal parts attitude, aggression and electricity with loud, blaring guitars driven by one of the crudest guitar tones I’ve heard in years. A fantastic slab of totally fucked Punk Rock that’ll sidle up nicely next to your Pagans, Reatards, Electric Eels and Spits records with eye-popping artwork by Terminal Gagger himself. A misanthropic masterpiece from London’s finest including a handy pull-out, lyrics sheet insert to boot.“
Remastered at NLBF: Câmbio Negro “Ecos do 3° Mundo” on Punk Vortex.
Released November 3, 2020
“Câmbio Negro, is a seminal Hardcore Punk band from Recife – Brasil, formed in 1983 they were one of the first bands playing that kind of music on the North East of the country and the first on that region to release an album. “Ecos do 3° Mundo” was previously released as a demo tape in 1989, and is considered by many their best stuff, brutal, raw, energetic Hardcore. Punk Vortex records has unearthed the original recording, restored, remastered and released it on vinyl. The original artwork has been also revamped! Taking into consideration that the songs were stored on cassette tape for decades and obviously lost a bit of quality, the final result is great! I am very proud of rescuing this piece of Brazilian Hardcore Punk and making it available to all.“
“Hot Liqs” is a total god-send. Sixteen new Liquids recordings, making a return to approximately 75% of their songs that have found their way onto cassettes in the past, along with what I believe to be a completely new instrumental, “Howdy”. By now, everybody is already way past-familiar with the Liquid’s splendor, but be prepared to be impressed even further with the majority of these recordings. A number of these tracks have such radical changes that can instantly revitalize year-old material. “Sick Shit”, “Dumb as Fuck”, and “Heart Beats True” are the first few songs with significant changes that come to mind, but a number of other tracks follow suit by further embellishing the already brilliant music through additional chords and hot, hot licks. The Liquids has never sounded so fresh before. It may only have one new song, but this is easily my most favorite Liquids release, hands down. So many gems make a much welcome return, like “I Killed Donald Trump” (now stylized as “I Killed D.T.) and “Permission Slip”. Hell, “Dumb as Fuck” only appeared on their “Live at Mat’s House” cassette, meaning this is the song’s first real appearance on a stand-alone release, as far as I can tell. I think it goes without saying about how good this release is, it’ll be sure to woo anyone who considers themselves a Liquids fan.”
